@Tadgh I'm keeping track of the stats and I don't see why I can't release them. The page i have them set up on is just a bit messy right now. I'd need to clean it up before releasing.

@Hallainzil: That looks like the kind of model I'd go for. I'm keen to see if I can get people to pay with their 'attention' - ie by offering a kind of sponsored free level. I'm thinking of 'get 10 replies if you follow @xxxx'.

@ian: I'll never charge for the service as is. It's only the @replies someone would have to pay for - since there is a cost involved in sending the text and/or extra server usage. On the front of agtweet it says "we'll never charge you for this service" which will be true for the service as it is. I expect that 90 - 99% of people will use the service as it is for free.

I'll be honest, I won't use it if I'm going to get charged 4c/message received. Being a student, I don't want to unexpectedly spend all my credit. No problem with a monthly subscription

One idea might be to have two separate revenue streams:

Free + Prepaid add-ons: This would be for the light/occasional users of AgTweet. Maybe limited to 5 tweets a day or something. Then you could buy packs of replies. Maybe you pay €5 for, say, 50 replies. (Or something like that.)

Subscription: You could have different levels here. Say any subscription allows unlimited tweets to be sent, and then you could have different levels for replies. So maybe €10 a month allows unlimited tweets to be sent + 50 replies. €12/3 a month allows unlimited tweets to be sent + 100 replies. €15/6 a month allows unlimited tweets to be sent + 200 replies.

The exact levels, of course, need to be tweaked, but hopefully you get the idea. Your key observation above is that there are two groups of people you need to be targeting.

Woo I was the fourth highest @replied . You consider having to complete survey's once a month or week in exchange for the service?
